By utilizing modern Internet technology, the electronic supervision system of administrative examination and approval of Chongqing can conduct automatic supervision and control over administrative examination and approval affairs and handling process with four functions of real-time supervision and control, early warning and rectification, performance assessment and information service. It can also synchronously supervise the whole process through acquiring information of all examinations and approval in real time and conduct on-the-spot supervision over the process through video supervision system. The system also designed supervision process for abnormal cases and to supervise those that are not accepted, refused to be approved, in need of more materials and the decisions that lead to administrative reconsideration or administrative litigation. Meanwhile, the system will give out early-warning messages to the practices of overtime administrative examination and approval handling, illegal fee charging, illegal examination and approval procedures and practices that violate stipulations of government affairs publicity, and send short messages to the cell phones of related people and supervision departments.

　　Currently, the first phase of electronic supervision system of administrative examination and approval of Chongqing covers the administrative examination and approval items of 17 functional departments such as land and resources, industry and commerce, planning and quality supervision. All the administrative examination and approval items and affairs handling of the city will be included into the system in different batches soon. By 2010, the electronic supervision system will cover all the districts and counties of Chongqing.
