Hainan: Exploring Institutional Integrity Review to Improve the Scientific Level of the Institutional Construction of Combating Corruption and Upholding Integrity
The CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and the CPC Hainan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection always attach great importance to the institutional construction of combating corruption and upholding integrity. Starting from early last year, a program of institutional integrity review has been explored and launched throughout the province, requiring the government departments of various levels to review the existing valid local regulations, government rules and other regulatory documents strictly according to the instruction of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee on strengthening the construction of combating corruption and upholding integrity and requirement of clean governance so as to find out and eliminate the institutional loopholes and defects that might lead to corruption. Up to March 2010, a total of 18,613 local regulations, government rules and other regulatory documents throughout the province had been reviewed and clarified. Ninety-three regulations were nullified, 578 were modified and 124 were newly established. |
