All Trials of Intermediate Courts to Be Live Broadcasted Online Before the End of the Year in Liaoning Province
It will not be long before people of Liaoning Province watch a court trial at home. After pilot programs with Liaoning Provincial Court, Anshan Intermediate Court and Liaoyang Intermediate Court, all the intermediate people’s courts and grass-roots courts with necessary conditions in Liaoning will start broadcasting their trials online by the end of this year. The court system of Liaoning Province held a workshop of experience exchange themed “serving the people” on August 19 and 20 in Shenyang City, Liaoning’s capital. It is learned at the workshop that the campaign of opening court trials will be extended to the whole province.
The campaign required publicizing the trials of all cases all trial procedures. Apart from broadcasting court trials online, Liaoning’s court system is also experimenting with putting audios and videos of court trials and written verdicts online. All the verdict papers on intellectual property rights cases, business cases and some criminal cases will be publicized online soon. With the three measures, citizens will be able to watch trials alive, watch an old trial or copy related materials. |
