Qu Wanxiang Met with ICAC Commissioner Timothy Tong and His Party
On the morning of December 18, 2007, Qu Wanxiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, Vice Minister of Supervision and Deputy Head of National Bureau of Corruption Prevent (NBCP) met with Timothy Tong Hin-ming, Commissioner of Independent Commissioner against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and his party in NBCP building. Related people from NBCP Office and Foreign Affairs Bureau of Ministry of Supervision participated in the meeting.
Qu Wanxiang first briefed Timothy Tong on the information of combating corruption in the Chinese mainland in recent years, stressing on the establishment background, structure and basic responsibilities of NBCP. Timothy Tong expressed his gratitude to Qu Wanxiang for his introduction and suggested to constantly strengthen bilateral contact and exchange.
Qu Wanxiang stressed that for many years, Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC and Ministry of Supervision had launched beneficial exchanges and cooperation with ICAC of Hong Kong and the two parties had established sound relations of friendly exchange. NBCP would deepen exchanges and cooperation with ICAC in corruption prevention. |
