Work Reporting Meeting on Restraining Outbound Tourism Travel on Public Funds Held
The Special Work Reporting Meeting on Restraining Outbound Tourism Travel on Public Funds was held on October 30 and November 2 in Hangzhou and Changsha respectively. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the speech made by He Guoqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the Conference of Implementation of the Requirement of Practicing Strict Economy and Restraining Outbound Tourism Travel on Public Funds, summarized the situations of launching the special work in the past two years, notified the problems in the management of outbound travel on public funds and restraining of outbound tourism travel on public funds and researched the major tasks of the special work in the future. Ma Wen, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Minister of Supervision and Director of National Bureau of Corruption Prevention (NBCP) attended the meeting in Changsha and delivered a speech.
The meeting stressed that all the regions and departments should further improve the ideology, fully implement the instruction and spirit of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on restraining outbound tourism travel on public funds and focus on the implementation of various regulations so as to cut the expenditure for outbound trips on public funds by 20 percent this year on the basis of the average figures in the past three years, and reduce the numbers of the groups and people of outbound travel on public funds.

Heads of NBCP Office, Department of Foreign Affairs Management of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related departments of the member units of the Inter-Ministerial Across-the-Board Meeting of Restraining Outbound Tourism Travel on Public Funds attended the meetings. Heads of related departments of 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps attended the meetings in Hangzhou and Changsha respectively. |
