NBCP Delegation Attend the Asia- Middle East Dialogue Workshop on “Best Practices For Achieving Transparency and Integrity”

  The Asia- Middle East Dialogue Workshop on “Best Practices For Achieving Transparency and Integrity”, was jointly held by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and Ministry of State for Administration Development of Egypt in Cairo on December 6-7, 2009. More than 80 delegates from 30 countries in Asia and Africa and international organizations such as the United Nations Development Program attended the workshop. Delegation from National Bureau of Corruption Prevention (NBCP) of China attended the workshop.

  The workshop focused on the practices of Asian and Middle Eastern countries in effectively promoting clean and transparent governance and anti- corruption under the framework of international cooperation mechanism of Asia-Middle East Dialogue. Based on the experiences of their respective countries, all the delegates had in-depth discussions on the three special topics of the institutional framework for combating corruption, anti-corruption policies in AMED countries and communication mechanisms between citizens and institutional framework to combat corruption.

  At the workshop, NBCP delegation made a presentation on the topic of anti-corruption policies to introduce China’s policy of combating corruption and upholding integrity and the work of corruption prevention, winning extensive attentions and appreciations from other delegates. During the workshop, NBCP delegation also exchanged views with the organizers of the workshop and counterparts from other countries such as Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
