In its congratulation letter, NBCP said that the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Gansu Government had attached great importance to and energetically supported the work of corruption prevention and Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Department of Supervision earnestly promote the work through active organization and coordination. After being approved to launch the national pilot project of corruption prevention by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and NBCP, Gansu Province had been solidly and orderly launching the pilot project in light of its reality through bold exploration and practice. Gansu established China’s first provincial level department of corruption prevention, which would surely have a positive impact on the organization and coordination, comprehensive planning, policy making and inspection and direction of the province’s corruption prevention work, making joint efforts to prevent corruption through integrating various resources and lifting the professional level of corruption prevention. NBCP hoped Gansu Provincial Bureau of Corruption Prevention could earnestly implement the spirit of the third plenary session of the 17th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, give full play to its roles according to the deployment of the 2008-2012 Working Plans of Building and Perfecting a System for the Punishment and Prevention of Corruption, pay more attention to root causes, prevention and institution construction, expand the working area of corruption prevention and punishment from the sources under the leadership of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Gansu Government, making efforts to realize the goal of effective corruption prevention.

　　Xu Shousheng extended his congratulations to the establishment of Gansu Provincial Bureau of Corruption Prevention on behalf of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Gansu Government. He noted that the establishment of the provincial department of corruption prevention was not only the requirement of the development of combating corruption and upholding integrity, but also an important measure taken by the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Gansu Government to strengthen their efforts in corruption prevention, which would surely promote the full implementation of the strategic guideline of combating corruption and upholding integrity and deepen the construction of the system for the punishment and prevention of corruption.

　　Xu Shousheng hoped that Gansu Provincial Bureau of Corruption Prevention could, guided by the Scientific Outlook on Development, earnestly implement the spirit of the important speech delivered by Hu Jintao, Secretary General of the CPC Central Committee at the third plenary session of the 17th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, fully carry out various work and tasks of corruption prevention determined by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee and Gansu Government, start the work with sound spirit according to the deployment requirements of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Ministry of Supervision and NBCP, pragmatically implement its duties, give full play to its functions, and energetically promote the construction of the Party’s work style and clean governance and anti-corruption campaign to provide solid political basis for sound and fast economic and social development throughout the province.
